Biography

Biography

bioCatherine Fitz-Gerald is a prominent Adelaide artist recognised for her masterful skills in handling the colour and luminosity of food, in particular fruit. Catherine’s work celebrates the inherent beauty of food and nature throughout the seasons. Her compositions and cropping reveal a new beauty for the viewer’s eyes and elicit memories of favourite recipes, experiences, time spent in gardens and kitchens with family and friends, the changing seasons and joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Also an award winning abstract artist, her works focus on light and how light changes colour.

Catherine has participated in many group and solo exhibitions with great success. Her work can be found in private collections throughout Australia, USA, Malaysia, Germany and New Zealand.
